The Amy & Jocelyn Gannon Foundation

We support big ideas and the visionaries who dream them up.

Our Mission

The Amy and Jocelyn Gannon Foundation believes in big ideas and the visionaries who dream them up. We’re focused on supporting projects that continue the work and ideologies of Amy and Jocelyn Gannon, including empowering women entrepreneurs and encouraging young artists and athletes.

Our mission is to spread Amy and Jocelyn’s sense of justice, kindness, and courage with likeminded individuals and organizations throughout the country and the world. Through the Foundation, Amy and Jocelyn’s indomitable spirits live on.

Foundation Projects

In 2021, we partnered with Madison Magazine to spotlight women (and girls) who embody the work Amy Gannon so fiercely championed.

The inaugural Amy Awards went to women who stood out in five categories, all of which embody Amy and Jocelyn Gannon’s values:

The Amy Award goes to a woman-led Madison-area startup;

The Strategist Award goes to a freethinker and disrupter of the ecosystem;

The Teacher Award goes to a mentor of entrepreneurs;

The Jocelyn Scholarship goes to a young photographer.

THE JOCELYN GANNON SPIRIT AWARD

Each year, Hamilton Middle School in Madison, Wisconsin, where Jocelyn was an eighth grader, awards the Jocelyn Gannon Spirit Award to an eighth grader who embodies Jocelyn’s qualities of kindness, inclusion, courage, empowerment, and athletics.

JOCELYN’S SHADE

This coming year, a new community shade structure will be named after Jocelyn in memory of Amy and Jocelyn. The structure, attached the Heiden House next to Jocelyn’s elementary school in Shorewood Hills, WI, will provide residents a place to congregate for years to come.
